Reviews of The Leam Hotel

stayed at the leam aug 2010, hotel in total need of decoration. however food good although cheap ingrediants were used.we had to move rooms because we could get no hot water, but the room we moved to was far better so was well chuffed.and after that the week got better. i dont think we would stay again but the arranged trip was i suppose value for money

This hotel needs a lot of loving ,tender care. Room 17 is terrible with holes in walls.
Skirtingboards & doors required cleaning. Bath edging needed replacing.

I have just returned from an Easter 2012 break at the Leam Hotel. It is without doubt the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. The roooms are extremely shabby and dirty. I have seen better furniture in charity shops. The food was of just an acceptable standard.

Decent food, nice people but the room was one of the worst rooms that I have ever stayed in,especially the bathroom! It was okay for the price that we payed.

We've just come back from a group holiday in Apr 2011 with a coach company in Wombwell, Barnsley, the trip was great from start to finish. All the staff at the hotel and coach company were really friendly, Chris and Wayne are a laugh a minute, Entertainment food and rooms were great, hotel was clean and beds comfy. We went out on excursions to Dorchester, Portland Bill and Bournemouth and enjoyed all the days out.
We will definately be booking again!

stayed in Aug2009 rooms leave a lot to be desired bathroom grubby, lounge carpet needs a good clean, dining room dark and dingy.food ok but stingy with potatoes, 2 small roast and thats it!! Chris lovely, Wayne could be very abrupt and rude at times. good entertaiment though.Hotel well positioned. over all this hotel needs a good clean .
Doreen April 15, 2012
just come back from the Leam. Enjoyed another lovely holiday there.Lovely food as usual, lovely friendly staff and Chris cannot do enough for you. The bar and entertaiment area has had a total make over and is really spot on now.the room we had had been re done with new bedding, curtains and a state of the art shower room. The rooms and bathrooms are being done up so ignore some of the reviews below as this hotel is on the up. also very good entertainment and excellent location.
ann June 24, 2011
my friend and I visited the Leam on a coach tour over easter, never again, food was pretty good if you like eating a three course meal in under 3O mins, one continuous circle in and out of the kitchen.rooms awful, room 14 overlooked the back, nothing but pigeon droppings everywhere, the place needs a good overhaul.

We stayed at the hotel in July 2009. good size room although in need of decoration, very nice sea view which we paid extra for but worth it, staff very nice and friendly including the boss, he was a great help to us, food good, toast always hard though, it was unfortunate the lift broke down while we were there but the management did try his hardest to get it fixed before we left, it was out of order for 3 days. having breathing difficulties it wasn't fun for me, it was fixed the day before we had to go home, too late for me though, I was so very out of breath trying get up and down the stairs, It's a pity the dining room was in the basement, we were lucky, we were on the first floor, only 17 stairs to go up and down, some people had to go up and down from the 3rd floor to the dining room.
Apart from all the complaints, we still enjoyed our holiday, thanks guys

just returned from a 5day break at the hotel.we have not been in worse hotel. bedroom no 33 top floor with a veiw of the sea pity the windows had not been cleaned so we could not take advantage of the veiw it looked as though there was a perminent mist over the bay.the bath panel was broken the taps could do with a good clean and curtains could do with new hooks.food edible but not the best.talking to other people at hotel all rooms could do with alot tlc.
Andrew Gilson August 8, 2011
Good position opposite sea. Staff really helpful and always friendly. Ground floor room a little dark because of being on back but perhaps could be bigger so as to help other disabled people. Mind you, not in it long enough to really notice that. Food excellent. Location good for all amenities and views across sea. Not sure about front steps. Could be more helpful if had better hand rails. Needs to say in comments about steps inside and out so people will be aware of them.

Great Hotel... Excellent Location.
Watts June 2, 2012
We have just stayed at the Leam, room 15 is terrible, the shower room was dirty when we arrived and was not cleaned all the 5 days we stayed, basin hanging of wall, black floor dirty, wet towels left in shower as requested were picked up folded wet and left on the toilet (which was dirty),carpet never hoovered. Cleanliness should be top of the list, it does not cost anything and eliminates germs. We would never stay again at this hotel or recommend it. It was dirty in all arrears.

Have just come back from a brake at this hotel , the food/rooms are not good at all, the food portions small size when you get it after a long wait if you needed anything extra (OLIVER) had a better change then you. The rooms need a make over if the hotel inspector came she would not stop here very long
