We booked three rooms ,double,twin and single for two nights so we saw more of the hotel than most.
Despite booking in March for July the rooms were completely separated, not a problem in fact for us but could be worrying for families with young children.
The hotel is oldfashioned, swirly patterned halls, no lift and one room required negioting several flights of stairs,in an up and down manner, definately unsuitable for the disabled. Al the rooms are slightly differently configured adding to the impression of a place which has developed piecemeal, several people called it a warren.
However the rooms were comfortable,the bigger ones spacios, the windows opened, the bed was comfortable, (pillows synthetic) tea making equipment and tv in every room and no minibars.
Breakfast was a buffet plus a good cooked breakfast, the only worry is that this is not selfservice but cooked to order and brought by waitresses which could be slower if you had an early appointment.
There was a dining room with a great looking menu, next time we will try that.
Very near University town centre and Botanic Gardens, car park appeared to need some policing to improve use of space but they did have some building work going on.
Overall good.
