An awful experience. Bad food, dirty hotel, dingy decor, unhappy staff, managerial staff were useless, unorganised and unprofessional. One extremely loud woman was most strange. The cleanliness was certainly not up to standard regardless of it's 2 star rating, I have stayed in better 2 stars in the past which put The Brooklands to shame. I would not return. Like Fawlty Towers but without the humour.

What a pity I never read these reviews before I stayed at this hotel. I would never have gone! It was quite dreadful but never mind, I'll know for next time I visit Scarborough to make sure I book into a hotel that cares about its guests, its cleanliness and its reputation.

Food to die for indeed! You probably would if you ate here seeing as they're being investigated by the Environmental Health Department for having filthy kitchens and an infestation of cockroaches. Look in the Scarborough Evening News and read all about it. The management, unsurprisingly, are trying to say it's not their fault as they're new but then they would say that, wouldn't they? They're obviously so new that they don't even know how to treat their staff. Five members of staff left during the two weeks we were staying there. That speaks volumes and also says they've got more sense than all the management put together!

well situated.pleasant staff.some rooms are poor,some good.some ungradable.food to die for,excellent.been 3 times had differant rooms.bad to good.would recommend if you get a good room.
