I found Troutsdale lodge many years ago, empty, never lived in as a home, used by a family for the shooting season. I bought it and spend wonderful few years there, creating a guest house which immediately took off. There was a lovely old snooker come dining table, old usable wood stoves in each room.
my first christmas saw my guests sitting out on the verandah after dinner, marvelling at the total peace and tranquility. happy days.
