had an fantastic four day break here a bit worried after reading some of the reviews nowt to worry about.food fab,rooms very clean,barman friendly to a point.thank you to andrea pleasant as always.James hope to see you next time we come.

Just ret from weekend at Four Oakes. Rooms and food excellent as was the dining staff and bar staff. I am sure James is a good host but too over the top for a few of us. Too familiar and too silly. The entertainer on the Sat night was very good even though it should have been an Irish singer. He did sing some Irish songs but it was spoiled by the constant interuption by James in his stupid costumes racing through and stealing the singers thunder aqnd messing around with some of the people there. I would like to go there again but wont whilst James is in charge. Too, too embarresing!!!

I don't know if the owners are same as when I took my disabled elderly mother.A number of years ago I felt that Mum could do with a break, Mum had this hotel recommended to her. Well it was something that we did not repeat. The lady owner did not smile, the food was ok till I had a really bad stomach I thought it was the eggs at breakfast, then the next morning the elderly man at the table next to us told me that his wife was also poorly, possibly the breakfast the previous day. After that we left the eggs alone.
The hotel could have been a lot cleaner especially the shower in my room which was also very small.
The staff were pleasent but not the owner. No thanks I shall not go again.

Just back from 5 days at the Four Oaks - staff are lovely and do their very best to make everything run smoothly. Food was good and everywhere beautifully clean. Entertainment each evening - something for everyone.

This is not a review of Four Oaks as it is today, but just a rare bit of nostalgia. I lived in Four Oaks for five years during World War 2 ~ it was owned then by my grandmother, Mrs. Ivy Simpson Yates, and my mother Mrs Gladys Mary Yates acted as secretary and nearly everything else 'front of house'! As for a review it was a wonderful place to be for a young boy during the 'dark' days of the war. One day I hope my wife and I may have the opportunity of staying with you ~ it would bring back so many happy memories for me personally.

Have just spent a lovely weekend in this Hotel. The food is lovely, the rooms comfortable and the staff friendly and efficient.(My husband was particularly imprssed by the Barman!) The entertainment was great and would certainly visit again.

have just had a lovely weekend break at this hotel,we made new friends with a running group they had staying their.we had such a laugh with fellow guests and staff 1st class everyone.there's one person who really is a diamond though,Andrea thanks for everything you made our holiday.

We stayed here August 2009 in our party there were 53 of us.The staff were very good and polite and made you feel welcome. I know the decor is a little dated but the food was to a good standard, it was always hot and plenty of it.The service was exellent and we had a very enjoyable night with the evening entainment.
