very comfortable,reasonably priced,clean, breakfast very good, train station three min walk from hotel, nice area,lovely park two min walk, staff very helpful, would definitely recommend staying there

Recently booked a funeral meal at this hotel.I informed person in charge that I believed the number would be in the range 40 to 50 persons.Person in charge suggested making the number 45 to 50 and I agreed although I explained that there may be less than 40 persons.I asked if I could change their menu no1 to include a fish dish which she agreed to stating it would incur a 20 per cent surcharge which I agreed to.The menu offered a soup starter or a sweet in addition to the main course.
On arrival there were only 38 persons requiring meals and the hotel presented a menu of a soup starter and choice of main meal.There was no choice of sweet for anyone.The fish arrived and was burned on one side but no complaint was made due to the nature of the occassion.I asked for the bill and was presented with a bill which included a total for food and drink and nothing itemised.I paid the bill.The following day I discovered that I had been charged for 45 meals.I questioned the manager who stated I had agreed to this figure and that The figure of 45 was the minimum that I had agreed to.I argued that at no time during my conversations was it made clear to me that I would be charged for a minimum of 45 meals irrespective of the number that attended as I had originally stated 40 to 50 and it was her employee who suggested 45 to 50.
In effect I was charged for 7 meals that I did not receive.They have nothing in writing to inform potential customers of this minimum ammount charging and in my opinion are being duplicitous in their dealings.The manager was fairly dismissive of my complaints and I would warn anyone considering using this business to beware.

This hotel is not located in the city center, I was at a party in here and the drink was a good price! It is located just over from a train station and the new Rosshall High School just down from Paisley Road West. I never stayed the night so can't comment on anything really but looks like an ok hotel.
