what a place, smelly boots as ya walk in, dog hair all over the place an owner who couldnt care less if you were there or not and said on numerous occasions if we didnt like we could we know what we could do, room smelt really bad lino coming up in the bathroom and the bottom of the shower was black, we were lucky enough to miss breakfast but the other guests commented on the grease and dog hair on the plates, would recommend any other hotel in blackpool but please please do not stop here

I stayed here a while ago for my stag night, if it is under new ownership I apologisem but the gypsy hag,with the foul language ,the drunk barmaid and the underage prostitute that dwelled there ruined my stag weekend and have ruined my opinion of Blackpool . The so called handyman looked like a heroin addict that couldn't replace a lightbulb, let alone fit any locks on the door, that was needed in ALL rooms, as we tried to change rooms, but found all to be flea-infested pits with no working locks.
Unfortunately my best man did not research the accomodation and picked the first cheapest name he could find from a dodgy source and the happiest part of my stag weekend was seeing the motorway as I drove out of Blackpool and home again.

This hotel needs closing down before someone contracts a unknown disease or is beaten up.we stayed there and the hotel is absolutley scandoulous.The rooms are dirty and smelly,The doors do not lock or are able to unlock themselves while you are out.The landlady and her staff are rude and offensive and show no respect to the PAYING guests.The laungage is f..king this and F..king that and they will threaten you with violence if you complain.Do not eat the greasy breakfast.Whatever you do please do not stop here

I had the misfortune to be a guest here. Run mainly by women, just don't get on the wrong side of them or you will hear the f-word directed at you. The staff appear to drink 24-7 and never sleep, which unfortunantely meant neither did I. No consideration for any of the guests comfort or peace, I know Blackpool is the home of stag/hen but stomping up the stairs until dawn is not on. The showers have no pressure, you have to aim the drips to wash , none of the TV are tuned in , no towels/soap. A kettle, but no cups. The locks are dodgy and can be pushed open without a key.
Never leave anything of value in the room. Breakfast , typically greasy fry-up or cereal. The owner refused to buy more orange juice when the jug ran out and actually said Whose using my water now? No car parking which meant moving the car every 2 hours between 9 and 5 Mon to Sat.
Only chosen for its proximity to the nightlife, How I wish I went further afield now. Definitely one for the mystery hotel inspector to investigate.

stayed once since di and russ left.they were fantastic and clean people`became friends to all who stayed,new management not interested in anybody or being clean rooms a mess,had to pay up front,we thought it was closed when we arrived, no lights on,unwelcome on arrival,told only hen and stag groups wanted,would never recommend it to anybody, go somewhere nice and friendly, not there,

never been in a worse hotel, the owners are from waht i could see are gypsies, there is a flea infested dog roaming arround at all times, the staff stay up all night drinking and making noise, the rooms dont lock properly, no towels or soap in rooms, no handle on bathroom door or light inside once we had managed to get in. absolute sh*t hole dont go ther in any circumstances

have to agree with previous comments about this dump of a hotel. The place is an absolute disgrace. I have never stayed in such a f***ing hell hole. The owner is a foul mouthed witch who i actually thought was a drag queen to begin with. She was constantly drunk the time we stayed there and her language was f***ing this and f***ing that. The place was smelly and dirty. The windows in the bar were filthy and there was dog hairs all over the place. The dog was barking non-stop. The older girl who served behind the bar (was also drunk) and charged different amounts making the prices up as she went along. I dont know if she was being clever or just extremely thick. When challenged about it the owner told us to fuck off and drink elsewhere if we didnt like the prices!!! There was a younger girl who was only about 13 who also served behind the bar ILLEGALLY!!!!!There was no breakfast as they were too hungover to get up (though it sounds like that was a blessing in disguise) It is in a great location and there the other hotels on the street look decent but I would urge anyone to steer clear of this one. I have sent a letter to Blackpool Council to close this shithole and have asked the booking agency for a refund. Places like this shouldnt be allowed to open.

hi all just a note i have not stayed here but im looking to buy i know it needs a bloody good clean and fumicating its in a good location and room sizes are ok we will be very friendly owners and will respect all guests as after all its you that make are wages hope to see all that stayed here before if we get it I will add on here if we do xx

Where do i start?
PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS SHAMBLES OF A BED AND BREAKFAST!
When we arrived no one bothered to tell us where to go or welcomed us what so ever, they were extremley rude to us. we were asked for a £20 depsoit EACH incase we damaged anything, ( any damage would have been a blessing to them ) no where in the confirmation did it state we had to pay this, and no one else got asked to pay this as we met several people who also stayed here! when we finally got to sleep ( after been kept awake by the owners until 7am ) 2 young men decided to walk into our room at 7am?? so therefore all the rooms can be unlocked by one key baring in mind they are on a yale!! what a complete discust!! we then went to get breakfast to find no one was awake, including the owners?? there bedroom was guarded with an alsation?? after an hour ands our car ticet had ran out they finally got up and didnt even apologise, thank us for staying! we were worried about our money more than anything but lucikly we did manage to get this back even though we shouldnt have even piad this.
we were that discusted we went straight home. We did enjoy our night out though so please dont be put off by going to blackpool, but take it from us do not stay here, it should be shut down!

hi i am a worker at this hotel, i clean it to the best standards as i have worked in a lot of hotel. i know what i am doing. this hotel is not the hilton. we are trying to improve thing as we have a lot of dick head that dont respect any thing. you go to blackpool for a good time but who says we cant enjoy our selfs aswell. we allsay have a good time if you like late bars this is the place for you

hello folks, This place is fantastic!!my first weekend was so good, i went back the following weekend, the owners are great, very welcoming and friendly,breakfast was brill just like home.if your a night person, or looking for a great escape from the norm, this place comes highly recommended.

WHAT A S**T HOLE !!!!!!!! Never thought there could be a hotel as bad as this. You would think Basil Fawlty and Norman Bates are joint owners of the place !!! Would not recommend it even to my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs

wee stoped there and we were told that wed get brekfast and a bed for 5 quid and if wee were luwky wed get a free roll of bog papper for the month and a top notch 5star brekfast lovei and if we didnt like owt weed get uwns teeth kicked in. I belive this hotel is now closed and for sale.

READ THIS BEFORE YPU READ ANY OTHE REVIEW ON THE STARCLIFF HOTEL!!!
We stayed here (party of 9) for a stag weekend in July 2005. It was the funniest and most awesome hotel you could stay at. No arrogant receptionist telling you there are 'no rooms available' (for your sort)the bar was reasonable and open all hours, i was even running the bar when the owners went out for the evening. we found ne evidence of cockroaches or dodgy smells (maybe the other guests forgot to pack antiperspirent and shower gel???) the breakfast was as much as we could eat, because i cooked it lol and the dog was just there to keep the twats out which according to some reviews managed to avoid its radar!!!
In all i would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a proper no frills lads stag do who are actually men and can take it rough and ready!!!

What a dump the place is a health hazard. Owners drink all hours and therefore refused to give us any breakfast which we paid for. They then had the front door locks changed, basically kicking us out!!!
