Well where do I start………..never before have I stayed in such a dump. We were greeted on arrival by the blond She-Devil owner !! She grunted then threw us our room keys, we had to search the hotel for our rooms, over the course of our 2 night stay we never got one ounce of “blackpool hospitality” the lift wasn’t working, no entertainment at all, beer was warm, food certainly wasn’t home cooked, rooms were filthy etc etc
I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel if it were the last one in Blackpool, you would get more comfort, entertainment and hospitality staying with the donkeys on the beach !!

I stayed at the Allandale in mid-November, outside the usual season, on a Saturday night. The rooms are basic - most don't have en-suite, but they are quite cheap. The owner seemed a friendly enough bloke, and the bar was reasonably stocked, although a little expensive - £2 for a can of Fosters. Breakfast was basic - toast and cereal, but unlike most Blackpool guest houses, it was at a reasonable hour - starting at 9:45am. Check out time is 11am.
Be aware that this guest house is very convenient for Blackpools nightlife, so it tends to attract parties rather than families.
If you're looking for top notch food and hospitality, then you can probably do better. If you're looking for somewhere cheap to get your head down after a night out, you could do a lot worse than the Allandale. I'll be staying there next time I visit.
